Составление резюме на английском — достаточно трудоемкий процесс, и здесь на помощь соискателю приходят онлайн конструкторы резюме. В февральской статье на ресурсе tweaklibrary были предложены 9 лучших онлайн приложений («9 Best Resume Maker Apps For Android & iPhone») по мнению автора твика.

Журналист рассказывает, какое из этих приложений синхронизируется с социальной сетью, а какое предлагает типичные вопросы для прохождения собеседования, составленные на основе ваших квалификаций и опыта. 

Наибольший интерес статье вызывает лексика. Все фразы можно разделить на несколько основных блоков, объединенные темой поиска работы. Начнем с описания приложения — здесь я распределила их на две категории. В первую, менее многочисленную, попадают описания приложения в форме прилагательные + существительные, а во вторую попадают глаголы — действия этого приложения.

• is the ideal option if you are seeking an ... application

• is a simple and precise tool

• is a top-notch choice

• are perfect for those who need to

Functions of the app:

• (3 раза) provides relevant interview questions/ a quick and accessible method for/ instructions on how to write a winning resume.

• allows you to design a CV on the go

• help you highlight your abilities and achievements in the best manner

• offers ...comprehensive materials 

• ensure that your CV appears commendable

• enabling you to produce an eye-catching CV with little effort

• makes writing a CV an effortless process

Если рассмотреть вышеуказанные фразы чуть в другом ракурсе, попробовать применить в другом контексте, то, к примеру, они идеально описывают проекты, которыми вы гордитесь или дают краткую информацию о компании, где вы работали/ работаете.

• That  program was a top-notch choice for us. Not only it allowed the department to make more sales, but also it ensured that all the team got their additional bonuses and earned higher commissions. It was great to see how my voluntary work  helped my colleagues perform better, but also brought in more income to the company.

• Before that, I worked in a small start-up based in Moscow. The company offered a wide range of IT services and provided technical support and maintenance to their customers. 

Далее, во втором блоке лексики идет описание всего процесса приема на работу:

• simplify the process of constructing a CV

• assist you in the journey of preparing for interviews

Что касается составления резюме, автор мастерски использует синонимы и переформулирует основную мысль. Например, говоря о готовых образцах резюме, которые предлагает каждый из 9 конструкторов, нет ни одного повторения. Вместо

• offers high-quality templates with comprehensive materials 

• A variety of ... templates are available

• There is a prepared template with areas such as

Выбрав один из шаблонов резюме, пользователь приложения может изменять их по своему усмотрению. Таким образом, эти фразы разнообразят описание ваших задач для работодателя и отразят гибкость ваших возможностей.

As you need:

• (2 раза) as per your needs and requirements/ the job role. 

• according to your whim

• in any way that best suits your requirements

• tailored to your experience & style

• that focuses on your strengths & accomplishments

Умение высказать мысль другими словами помогает не только при написании текстов, но также широко используется при ответе на вопрос, когда вы выражаете свое мнение («I think»), обосновываете его фактами или причинами («because, for example») и завершаете речь переформулированным выводом («So, I can say…»). 

Последним лексическим блоком можно выделить фразы, которые применимы для прохождения собеседования на английском языке. А именно, их можно использовать в ответах о профессиональных навыках соискателя, как он поддерживает и развивает их.
